Video Instructions

Along with their poster, students must submit a 30- to 60-second video describing their research. This video will allow judges to see how well you demonstrate your knowledge of the topic and the research.

Creating your video

  1. Use Zoom to record your video. A Zoom recording provides you with a good quality video that has a smaller file size.
  2. Record your video in the landscape orientation (horizontal) rather than the portrait orientation (vertical).
  3. Make sure the video can be seen without difficulty. Consider lighting, framing, and what's in the background.
  4. Make sure the audio can be heard without difficulty. Consider background noise and speak clearly and confidently.
  5. Download the video file from Zoom and save it on your computer. It should be no larger than 40 MB and between 30–60 seconds.
  6. During the research submission process, upload your video file. Files over 40 MB in size will not be accepted.
